Women’s Swim Competes on Day Two of NJAC Championships

COLLEGE PARK, MD. – The TCNJ women's swimming and diving team had a solid day in the pool on the second day of the inaugural NJAC Championships throughout Friday afternoon.

FRIDAY FINALS
  • In the 500 free finals, senior captain Sarah Burton narrowly missed out on a podium finish after placing fourth with a personal-best time of 5:14.14.
  • Freshman Lilliana Kuball came in eighth for the 200 IM finals with a solid time of 2:12.45. The freshman had a stellar morning prelims session in which she placed sixth at a new personal-best time of 2:10.74 to punch her ticket onto the evening A finals. Competing in the C-Finals, junior captain Colleen Scanlon placed 19th overall with a time of 2:13.95.
  • In the 50 free B-Finals, sophomore Bridget Cleveland led the way for the Lions in 13th place with a new season-best time of 25.03. In the C-Final, captain Mackenzie Wall finished 18th after clocking in at 25.19.
  • Closing out the evening, the Lions' 400 medley relay team of Scanlon, Kuball, Nisha Narayanan and Burton placed eighth with a season-best time of 4:04.61.
UP NEXT
The Lions are back in the pool tomorrow morning at 10:30 AM for the preliminary session. The evening finals will take place starting at 6:00 PM. Women's diving will also conclude with the 1-meter dive taking place starting at 1:30 PM.
