ITHACA, N.Y. – Beth Evaldi and
Melody Lin capped their outstanding seasons at the NCAA Region 4 diving championship on Saturday at Ithaca.
Evaldi placed 10
th on the 1-meter board and 11
th on the 3-meter board, while Lin was 24
th on 1-meter and 25
th on 3-meter.
A first-time regional qualifier, Lin tallied 326.00 points on 1-meter and 339.95 on 3-meter. She was named NJAC Diver of the Week for the first time in her career this season, and also captured her first career conference medal with a third-place finish on 3-meter at the NJAC Championship.
Evaldi scored 381.70 on 1-meter and 403.90 on 3-meter. The junior won both boards at the NJAC championship meet and will soon be named the conference's Diver of the Year for the second straight season. A 3-time regional qualifier, she is a 3-time NJAC champion and 6-time medalist.
