COLLEGE PARK, MD. – Highlighted by a podium finish, the TCNJ women's swimming and diving team had a solid day three of competition at the inaugural NJAC Championships throughout Saturday.
The Lions will head into the championship meet finale placed among the top five, in fifth, with 540 points as a team.
ON THE BOARD
- Sophomore Beth Evaldi concluded her stellar weekend on the board at the NJAC Championships with a silver medal in the 1-meter dive after recording a mark of 379.20 points.
- Sophomore Melody Lin narrowly missed out on another podium finish of her own after placing fourth with a performance of 293.05.
SATURDAY FINALS
- In the pool, TCNJ's 200 free relay team of Mackenzie Wall, Katie Mazzacco, Bridget Cleveland and Lilliana Kubball just missed out on a podium finish after touching in fifth with a season-best time of 1:38.84. The Lions were edged out by third place Montclair State by two-tenths of a second, and were beaten by Rowan by just one tenth.
- Sophomore Bridget Cleveland finished fifth in the 200 free after clocking a stellar time of 1:57.36. The sophomore had a similarly strong swim in the morning prelims, qualifying for the evening A finals after a third place time of 1:57.14. Senior captain Sarah Burton placed 11th with a career-best time of 1:57.93. Freshman Katie Mazzacco touched in 18th with a time of 1:59.36, and Mackenzie Wall came in 23rd at 2:02.08.
- In the 100 breast, freshman Lilliana Kuball placed seventh after clocking in at 1:07.33. Kubball's morning prelims saw the freshman set a new collegiate best time of 1:06.74 to qualify for the A-Finals. Sophomore Katelyn Gaulin placed 14th with her season best time of 1:08.74.
- The 100 fly saw sophomore Nisha Narayanan place 18th overall with a season-best time of 1:00.49.
- Narayanan also placed 15th in the 100 back with a time of 1:01.63. In the event, junior captain Colleen Scanlon clocked in at 1:00.70 for 17th, while freshman Mary Kate Owens placed 24th with a time of 1:03.03.

The Lions will conclude competition at the inaugural NJAC Championships with a 9:30 am preliminary session start time, before kicking off the Championship Sunday finals session at 5:30 pm.
