COLLEGE PARK, MD. – The TCNJ women's swimming and diving team concluded their appearance in the inaugural NJAC Championship meet with a seventh place finish on championship Sunday.
The Lions scored 700 points throughout the four day meet weekend. Sophomore
Beth Evaldi led the way on the board, winning the program's lone event title for the 3-meter dive, while also taking silver in the 1-meter dive. Sophomore
Melody Lin added on a bronze medal of her own for 3-meters. In the pool, the blue and gold qualified four athletes onto the A-Finals throughout the meet, as well as one Top-five relay finish.
SUNDAY FINALS
- Starting off the finals session with the 1650 free, senior Sarah Burton touched in sixth by clocking a lifetime best of 18:04.70 to lead the blue and gold. Junior Ren Wolstenholme came in 21st with her time of 19:20.89, while freshman Caroline Gemelli and sophomore Jillian Kenney came in 24th and 25th, respectively, with times of 19:49.44 and 19:57.67.
- In the 200 back, sophomore Bridget Cleveland finished in 13th with a new collegiate-best time of 2:11.60. Junior Colleen Scanlon finished 18th with a time of 2:13.41.
- Freshman Katie Mazzacco led the way in the 100 free, touching in 12th with a new collegiate-best time of 54.84. Super senior Mackenzie Wall in 16th place with a time of 55.97.
- The 200 breast saw sophomore Katelyn Gaulin place 11th with a new lifetime time of 2:26.86, while freshman Lilliana Kuball touched right behind her in 12th with a strong time of 2:26.95.
- Sophomore Nisha Narayanan placed 19th in the 200 fly after finishing her race at 2:19.81. Fellow sophomore Sofia Hall finished 24th with a time of 2:30.66.
- The Lions closed out the championship meet weekend with a seventh place finish in the 400 free relay. The relay squad of Burton, Scanlon, Wall and Cleveland combined for a relay time of 3:38.47.

The Lions are back at the TCNJ Aquatic Center next Saturday at 1 PM to host the Lion Winter Invite, before resuming postseason action with the NCAA Diving Regionals taking place March 1-2.
