ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The TCNJ women's track and field team started off day one of the AARTFC Regional Championships on a strong note on Friday. The Lions are currently fifth in the team points standings with 20.

Eliza Bruncaj highlighted the Lions once again on Friday, winning the pentathlon with a personal best score of 3462. This number breaks the previous school record of 3451 set by her a season ago.
Sarah Scepkowski took seventh in the event with a score of 2935.

Kerri McCarthy and
Edith Gonzalez kept up the solid performances on day one in the shot put as McCarthy finished fifth and Gonzalez ninth with distances of 12.37 and 12.218 meters respectively.

The 4x400-meter relay team of
Kelly O'Grady,
Mackenzie Burke,
Kelsey Thomas and
Amanda Demko picked up another fifth-place finish for the Blue & Gold as they crossed the finish line at 4:02.45.

Lia Malave jumped to an 11
th place finish in the long jump after her mark of 5.23 meters.

Cassidy Quinn finished 20
th in the 5000-meter run following her time of 19:09.49.

The TCNJ women's track and field team is all set to make a push for first place on Saturday morning as action is set to start back up at 10 AM.
