ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The TCNJ men's indoor track and field team had an impressive day on Saturday, climbing up the ranks to finish fifth at the AARTFC Regional Championships with a total of 38 team points. A couple key performances were what gave the Lions the extra boost on Saturday.

Jayvee Dumas shined for the blue & gold in the heptathlon, taking second with a personal best score of 4545. In the process, the sophomore had personal bests in the 60-meter dash, long jump, shot put, 60-meter hurdles and the 1000-meter run.

Ray Schmitt also picked up a second-place finish for the Lions with a 6.90 60-meter dash.

Freshman
Jack Attali continued his impressive season with a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash and a fourth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles after crossing the finish line at 22.16 and 8.14 consecutively.

Zach Mackiewicz was once again a strong note for TCNJ, placing sixth in the weight throw following a mark of 16.59 meters.
Luke Schrank-Garcia finished 14
th in the event with a distance of 15.95.

Justin Gomez also ran the 200-meter dash and placed 19
th with his time of 22.81. Gomez, Attali and Schmitt all joined
Tyrese Gilbert in the 4x200-meter relay, where they finished third with a time of 1:30.44.

Matt Granizo and
Brandon Chen both ran well in the 3000-meter run. Granizo came in 12
th with a time of 8:38.23 with Chen trailing in 16
th place at 8:46.54.

TCNJ track and field will head back home and get ready for the NCAA Championships in Virginia Beach, Va. On March 8
th at 10 AM.
