The TCNJ women's track and field team concluded an eventful three-day weekend of split-squad competition both across the country at the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational, as well as closely to home at the Sam Howell Invitational throughout Thursday to Saturday.
TEXAS RELAYS – NOTABLE FINISHERS
- Competing among a field of mainly division I athletes in the 400 meter hurdles, junior Eliza Bruncaj placed 33rd with a time of 1:03.05. The junior also placed 55th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.92 seconds.
- In the 4x100 meter relay timed finals, the TCNJ quartet of Mackenzie Burke, Rukiyat Daranijo, Lia Malave and Kelsey Thomas placed 17th with a combined time of 50.93.
- The 4x400 meter relay timed finals saw Bruncaj, Daranijo, Thomas and Amanda Demko take 16th after crossing the finish line in 4:08.99.
BOBCAT INVITATIONAL – TOP 20 FINISHERS
ON THE TRACK
- Senior Cassidy Quinn crossed the finish line in fifth for the 5000 meters with her time of 18:19.07, while senior Emily Hoegler came in 14th after clocking in at 18:37.52.
- In the 4x400 meter relay, TCNJ's quartet of Erin Hanlon, Bruncaj, Thomas and Demko cross in 10th with a relay time of 3:55.95.
IN THE FIELD
- In the javelin throw, junior Lily Lorio placed sixth after tossing a personal best mark of 34.78m (114-01).
- The shotput saw senior Edith Gonzalez come in 13th with her top throw of 12.15m (39-10.50).
SAM HOWELL INVITATIONAL – TOP 10 FINISHERS
- In the discus throw, freshman Kaydence Fischer placed eighth with her top throw of 37.47m (122-11).
- In the high jump, senior Kayley Harnett tied for ninth after clearing a mark of 1.53m (5-0.25).

The Lions return to action next Friday and Saturday to compete in the Ebanks Invitational. Starting times for both days are set for noon.
