Women's T&F Takes Second at Ithaca Quad

ITHACA, N.Y. – Rukky Daranijo won a pair of individual events and a relay title as the TCNJ women's track and field team placed second at a quad meet hosted by Ithaca on Saturday.
 
ON THE TRACK
  • Daranijo posted personal bests to win both the 200 (26.76) and 400 (1:00.27), the latter a regional qualifying cut and just ahead of teammate Kelly O'Grady (1:00.56) in second
  • Hanlon claimed the win in a small 500-meter field, crossing the line in 1:22.13
  • Mackenzie Burke, Eliza Bruncaj, Brenna Omert, and Daranijo won the 4x400 relay in a time of 4:10.47, edging Ithaca's top unit by .17 seconds
  • Olivia Class was third in the 800 meters (2:33.35)
  • Cassidy Quinn finished runner-up in the 3000 meters (10:59.53), with Ava Biemuller (11:05.46) in fourth and Molly Bossdorf (11:18.82) in fifth
  • Bruncaj (9.60) and Burke (9.65) finished 4-5 in the 60-meter hurdles, and Burke was fourth in the 60-meter dash (8.12)
  • Biemuller (5:30.88) and Quinn (5:31.26) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the mile
IN THE FIELD
  • Jessica Reilly won the weight throw with a top mark of 15.45 meters on her third toss
  • Lia Malave claimed top billing in the long jump with a distance of 5.29 meters, and Sarah Scepkowski was third (5.08 meters)
  • Brooke Valan was first in the triple jump (10.67 meters)
  • Scepkowski, Petra Doherty, and Bruncaj all posted a top mark of 1.48 meters in the high jump
  • Maya Scannell placed fifth in the pole vault (3.00 meters)
