WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The TCNJ women's swimming team battled against a Division-I opponent at the Monmouth Invitational, and they came away with an individual win thanks to
Lilliana Kuball.
Kuball's individual win came in the 100 breast, where she logged a time of 1:09.58. She swam the first 50 about half of a second slower than a swimmer from Monmouth, but a strong second leg (36.55) propelled her to the win.
Bridget Cleveland was close to adding a second win for the Lions in the 100 back. Her solid time of 1:02.82, however, was just a few tenths of a second behind the eventual winner of the event from Monmouth.
The Lions also competed in two events amongst themselves: the 200 free and the 200 back.
Katie Mazzacco won the first with a time of 2:02.84, while
Shaye Bundonis prevailed in the latter race with her time of 2:16.51.
Next up for the Lions is another away meet, this time at Ramapo on Saturday, November 1.
