EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ women's swimming team competed hard on the first day of the TCNJ Invitational, placing in second with 263.5 points.
The Lions' efforts were highlighted by an individual win from
Sarah Mandy in the A final of the 500 Free. Mandy logged a time of 5:13.49, which was almost 8 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
In addition to Mandy's win, TCNJ also logged 4 top-3 finishes. The relay team of
Bridget Cleveland,
Katie Mazzacco,
Lilliana Kuball, and
Mary Kate Owens logged a time of 1:39.42 to get second place in the 200 Free Relay. Kuball also placed second in the 200 IM (2:12.59), and Cleveland followed up with a third-place finish in the 50 Free (25.20). The Lions ended their day with a second-place effort in the 400 Medley Relay (4:04.61) from the team of Cleveland, Kuball, Owens, and
Shaye Bundonis.
The Lions will compete again tomorrow on the second day of the TCNJ Invitational; prelims begin at 11:00 AM and finals will take place at 6:00 PM.
