PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – To open up the 2025-26 season, a trio of Lions kicked off the new season in the pentathlon at the Penn Opener on Friday afternoon.
Sarah Scepkowski highlighted the Lions' battle against Division I competition by finishing 9
th overall, amassing 3,024 points. She posted top-10 performances in three events: 6
th in the high jump (1.55m), 8
th in the shot put (9.12m), and 9
th in the 800m (2:44.08).
Lia Malave put together 2,907 points, which was good enough for 11
th. Like Scepkowski, Malave also placed inside of the top-10 in multiple events. She posted the 6
th-best distance in the long jump (5.26m) and the 8
th fastest time in the 800m (2:43.59).
Finally, Samatha Magin finished in 15
th. She too had a pair of top-10 marks, posting TCNJ's best scores in both the shot put (6
th, 9.22m) and the 800m (5
th, 2:39.46).
