NEW YORK, N.Y. & PHILADELPHIA, Pa., – Over the weekend, the TCNJ men's track and field squad kicked off their new season. Numerous Lions set new PRs, and
Maxim Rychkov highlighted the weekend with two school record-setting runs at the Armory.
TCNJ INDOOR OPEN – TRACK
- Maxim Rychkov set a new school record with his performance in the 60m. He posted a time of 6.77, which shaves a few hundredths of a second off of his own previous record.
- Noah Traverso (7.09) and Juan Alino (7.21) set new PRs in the 60m.
- Jack Attali won the 60m Hurdles (8.20), and Lebron Rose set a new PR with an 8.53.
- Rychkov set another new school record in the 300m, where he won with a 33.54. Noah Traverso came in 2nd with a 34.57 (also faster than the previous record), setting a new PR in the process. Anthony Senatore came in 4th with a PR-time of 35.00.
- TCNJ 's A relay of Traverso, Isaiah Muse, Senatore, and Rychkov won the 4x400m a time of 3:16.87. Rychkov ran the anchor leg in a blistering 48.026.
- Nathaniel Adams came in 3rd in the 400m, setting a new PR (50.64).
- Brody Dillich finished 3rd in the 600m (1:24.54).
TCNJ INDOOR OPEN – FIELD
- Tyler Meier was tied for 3rd in the high jump (1.88m).
- Tyler Kadezabek finished 3rd in the pole vault (4.30m).
- TCNJ took up three of the top five spots in the shot put. Braden Paulmenn came in 1st (15.54m), Christina Farhat came in 2nd (14.48), and Jayson Lewis came in 5th (13.47).
- Paulmenn also finished 4th in the weight throw (13.43m) with Xavier Lynch right after him in 5th (11.94m).
PENN OPENER
- Jayvee Dumas was the lone Lion in action in Philadelphia, as he battled 5 Division I competitors in the heptathlon.
- Dumas amassed 3,755 points, highlighting his weekend with 4th-place scores in the 60m (7.22) and the 1000m (3:04.17).
The next action for the Lions will be back at the Armory for the Lions Indoor Invitational on January 9.
