Box Score TROY, N.Y. – The TCNJ women's tennis team fell by a count of 6-1 at No. 40 RPI on Sunday.
Shruti Mannan was a double-winner for the Lions, teaming with
Zoey Albert for a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles before toughing out a marathon third-set super tiebreak at No. 3 singles for the Lions' lone point.
Mannan managed to pull off a 6-2, 5-7, 10-8 victory on the No. 3 court to help the Lions avoid the sweep.
That wasn't the only tight match of the day. Albert also went to a third-set super tiebreak at number one singles, ultimately coming up short in a 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 thriller with Nicole Ridenour.
Gabriella Robinson did so on the number five court, falling 6-2, 5-7, 10-6 to Brooke Bauer.
Anusha Perinkolam dropped a 7-5 first set at number four singles before retiring in the second.
