CHESTER, P.A.- The TCNJ women's track and field team was at the Paul Donahue Invitational on Friday and Saturday, where they claimed four top-three finishes – one win, one runner-up finish and two third-place finishes.
 
ON THE TRACK

• The Lions' 4x400-meter team made up of Rukky Daranijo, Mackenzie Burke, Eliza Bruncaj, and Kelly O'Grady, finished as the runner-up for the event with a time that ranks top 12 in Division III (3:48.97).
• The 4x100-meter relay team finished third in the race (48.98). Competing were Burke, Daranijo, Petra Doherty, and Samantha Magin.
• Burke finished third in the 400-meter hurdles (1:02.73). The sophomore's time ranks 13th in DIII.
• Daranijo placed fourth in the 400-meter dash, just one second behind the third-place finisher (57.38). Teammate, Brenna Omert (58.59), placed eighth out of the 57 athletes who finished the race.
• Kelly O'Grady also finished in fourth place in the 800-meter open, less than a second behind the third-place winner.
• Cassidy Quinn finished seventh in the women's 5000-meter race (17:34.14).

IN THE FIELD

• Kerri McCarthy took the top spot in the hammer throw (49.88m).
• Doherty got the fourth-place spot in the high jump (1.55m), and Sarah Scepkowski (1.50m) and Abigail Pfaff (1.50m) had competitive performances in sixth and seventh place.
• Allison Lavin placed ninth in the shot put event (11.43m) out of 39 athletes.
• Brooke Valan jumped for eighth place in the triple jump event (10.64m), and Erin McGauley followed behind in eleventh place (10.09m)

UP NEXT

• The Lions will have athletes competing in the Penn Relays from Thursday, April 24 through Saturday, April 26 with TCNJ also set to host the Lions Invitational at home on Friday and Saturday.
