4/24/2025 11:17:00 AM

PITMAN, N.J. - The TCNJ women's tennis team dominated the All-NJAC Team released by the league office this morning, sweeping all three major awards and putting six starters on either the all-conference singles or doubles roster.

Zoey Albert, the 2024 Rookie of the Year, made the jump to Player of the Year in her sophomore season, also earning All-Conference honors in both singles and doubles. Shruti Mannan took home Rookie of the Year honors, joining Albert and Aira Abalas on both the singles and doubles All-NJAC lists, with Gabrielle Brideau (singles), Gabriella Robinson (singles) and Anusha Perinkolam (doubles) rounding out the Lions' All-Conference honorees.

Albert was unstoppable in NJAC matches all season, going a combined 8-0 at the top flight in both singles and doubles en route to her Player of the Year honors. The sophomore dropped three games in singles and just one in doubles in conference play and finished the regular season with a combined record of 26-6.

Mannan was equally impressive in her debut season, going 4-0 at both No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles alongside Albert. A Player and Rookie of the Week honoree this year, the freshman dropped just one game across all eight of her NJAC matches, compiling an overall record of 28-4 that included wins against RPI, Rochester and SUNY New Paltz.

Abalos followed up her 2024 Player of the Year season with another strong campaign en route to her All-Conference selection to both the singles and doubles teams. The senior, now a four-time singles honoree and three-time doubles honoree, went 12-4 during the regular season at No. 2 singles – including a 4-0 mark in NJAC matches – and 10-6 at No. 2 doubles.

Brideau garnered an All-NJAC singles nod after finishing 10-3 overall primarily from court six, including a 3-0 mark in conference-play in which the freshman dropped just one game.

An All-NJAC doubles selection a season ago, Robinson earned her spot on the 2025 singles team following a sophomore campaign in which she was unbeaten in NJAC matches and compiled a season-long record of 11-5.

Perinkolam played almost exclusively doubles in her maiden season, finishing 4-0 in conference matches and 9-5 overall – a mark that included an eight-match win streak from March 28 to April 9 – with wins over Haverford and SUNY New Paltz.

The Lions and their six all-conference honorees will shoot for their 42nd consecutive NJAC championship Saturday, April 26th against Stockton
