Women's T&F Celebrates Seniors After Home Finale

EWING, N.J. - The TCNJ women's track and field team hosted nearly 40 teams at the Lions Invitational this weekend, where they secured 5 medals, including a relay gold, a relay silver, and three bronze for solo performances.

After the meet, the Lions honored Molly Bossdorf, Eliza Bruncaj, Olivia Class, Erin Hanlon, Lily Lorio, Lea Martin, Kerri McCarthy, Abigail Pfaff, Erin Picklo, Jessica Reilly, Carmelina Sanci, Riley Stellitano, Annalise Stephens, and Brooke Valan on Senior Day.

ON THE TRACK
  • The 4x100-meter relay team won first place and moved up to the 75th spot on the NCAA outdoor performance list with a time of 48.92 seconds.
  • The 4x400-meter relay team claimed second place in 4:22.54
  • Olivia Sullivan finished third in the 3000-meter steeplechase (13:57.99).
  • Eliza Bruncaj secured third place in the 400-meter hurdles with a season-best time that put her in the 21st spot in the DIII rankings (1:02.93).
  • Brenna Omert placed fourth in the 800-meter race with a personal record time that added her to the DIII rankings in the 100th spot (2:17.11).
  • Rukiyat Daranijo set a new personal record in the 200-meter dash and placed fourth (25.44).
  • Mackenzie Burke placed sixth out of 37 athletes in the 100-meter dash with her season-best time (12.84).
  • Kelly O'Grady set her season best time in the 400-meter event and placed seventh out of 34 athletes (58.56).
IN THE FIELD
  • Annalise Stephens won third in the javelin throw with her personal best performance that moved her to the 36th spot in the DIII rankings (38.95m). Lily Lorio also had a personal best throw in the event and moved to the 50th spot in the rankings and claimed fourth place (37.90m).
  • Kerri McCarthy's fourth-place hammer throw moved her to the 25th position in the DIII Rankings (50.93m). Teammate Jessica Reilly threw for fifth place (47.96m).
  • Sarah Scepkowski tied for fifth in the high jump (1.53m).

  • The Lions will host the NJAC Outdoor Championships next Saturday and Sunday
