EWING, N.J. – Three members of the TCNJ women's tennis team were recognized with Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced on Tuesday.
Aira Abalos,
Zoey Albert, and
Gabriella Robinson were all rewarded for their standout performances both in the classroom and on the court.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced next month.
A Speech Pathology and Audiology major with a 3.91 GPA, Abalos is an Academic All-District selection for the second year in a row. She went 14-4 at No. 2 singles and 11-7 at No. 2 doubles during her senior season, finishing her career fourth in program history in doubles wins (78) and ninth in total wins (136). The NJAC Player of the Year in 2024, Abalos is a four-time All-NJAC performer in singles and a three-time selection in doubles.
A Biology major with a 3.97 GPA, Albert was named NJAC Player of the Year as a sophomore, when she went undefeated in duals with
Shruti Mannan at No. 1 doubles and finished with a 10-6 overall mark at No. 1 singles. She has earned All-NJAC accolades in both singles and doubles in each of the last two seasons.
A Mechanical Engineering major with a 3.62 GPA, Robinson earned All-NJAC singles recognition after posting a 13-4 dual record in the fourth flight. She also teamed with
Elizabeth Ring to finish 13-3 at No. 3 doubles.
