GENEVA, Ohio – Eliza Bruncaj ended her career as an All-American.

The TCNJ women's track and field standout placed 13th in the prelims of the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Thursday night, officially clinching the fifth All-America award of her decorated tenure.

Battling chilly temperatures and rain at SPIRE Institute, Bruncaj clocked a time of 1:02.74, less than four-tenths of a second outside of the ninth-place finals-qualifying mark.

Thursday marked the second 400 hurdles All-America performance for Bruncaj, who finished fourth at the 2023 outdoor meet. She also earned All-America accolades in the 4x400 relay at that meet and was a two-time indoor pentathlon All-American.

An 8-time NCAA qualifier, Bruncaj was named the Metro Region Track Athlete of the Year for the 2023 outdoor campaign. She was a 6-time NJAC champion and racked up 17 medals at conference championship meets.
