EWING, N.J. – After a weekend of battling with Haverford and NYU, the TCNJ women's tennis team wrapped up their Lions Tournament on Sunday.

The Lions, Fords, and Violets competed against one another in 40 total matches across two days. The Lions were involved in 27 of those matches, logging eight total victories. Full results of the Lions Tournament can be viewed here.

On the first day of competition, Zoey Albert and Eleni Dakos each picked up singles wins. Both matches were decided by a third-set super tiebreaker.

The Lions picked up two additional wins in Saturday's doubles matches. Albert and Shruti Mannan logged a hard-fought win, 8-7 (8-6), over NYU's Victoria Wang and Aditi Narayan. The sophomore duo of Elizabeth Ring and Gabrielle Brideau defeated another NYU partnership, Norah Staunton and Siona Vallabhaneni, 8-2.

Those same two teams would be responsible for the Lions two doubles victories on the following day. Sunday's action began with Albert and Mannan's win against the Haverford team of Jolie Zink and Aarti Prochnow, 8-3. Ring and Brideau got their win over Haverford's Adelaide Kreutel and Mallika Reddy, 8-7 (7-4).

Finally, the Lions gained two more wins via Albert and Dakos in Sunday's singles matches. Albert triumphed over Zink by a scoreline of 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-7, while Dakos defeated NYU's Vera Bondarenko, 6-2, 6-2.

Albert was the lone Lion to go undefeated, as she ended the weekend's action with a flawless 4-0 record. Mannan, Dakos, Ring, and Brideau finished the tournament with two wins each to round out the five total winners for TCNJ.

Next up for the Lions is the ITA Northeast Regional, which will take place in Saratoga Springs, New York, from September 26 to 28.
