Men's T&F Logs Strong Performance at Hound Classic

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Looking to build off of their teammates' success down in Virginia, a full pride of Lions traveled to Moravian to compete at the Hound Classic. The men's track and field squad put in strong performances all around, highlighted by Jayvee Dumas in the pole vault, Braden Paulmenn in the shot put, and their long-distance runners.
 
ON THE TRACK
 
  • William O'Donovan won the 3000m with time of 9:04.61. Simon Bernhardt placed in third (9:13.31) and Nate Kidwell in seventh (9:20.23).
  • In the 800m, three Lions were in the top ten again. David Keefe was runner-up (2:02.08), Lucas Lattimer was seventh (2:03.45), and Brody Dillich was tenth (2:04.42).
  • Nihar Tantry followed up with another top-ten finish in the 400m (9th, 53.22).
  • In 60m hurdles, Jayvee Dumas placed third (8.642), finishing less than a hundredth of a second ahead of fourth place.
  • Ryan Segalla ran to a fifth-place finish in the mile with a PR time of 4:24.54.
  • TCNJ took up the first four spots in the 5000m, led by Anthony Guarino (15:48.82). Finishing after Guarino were Sean Haggerty (16:05.47), Silas Matteson (16:10.21), and Sawyer Stellitano (16:23.26).
  • In the 4x400, the team of Dumas, Dillich, Tantry, and Lattimer took fourth place (3:34.89).
 
IN THE FIELD
 
  • TCNJ went 1-2-3 in shot put, with Braden Paulmenn winning the event with 15.36m. Christian Farhat (14.82) got second and Jayson Lewis (14.73) placed third. Xavier Lynch was in the top ten as well (10th, 12.98).
  • Paulmenn and Farhat were also involved in the weight throw, where they placed in the top ten again. Paulmenn posted a 14.57 (a PR) to a fourth-place finish, while Farhat placed in eighth with a 13.26.
  • Jayvee Dumas won the pole vault, equaling his season-best height of 4.55m. Matthew Corrigan joined him in the top-ten, placing in sixth (3.95m).
  • Ryan Donnelly finished 9th in the long jump (6.39m).
  • In the high jump, Maxwell Reilly (6th), Tyler Meier (T7th) and Nihar Tantry (9th) were all in the top ten.
