HAMPTON, Va. – On Thursday evening, the TCNJ women's swimming and diving team kicked off this year's NJAC Championships.
The Lions began with the 200 medley relay, where
Shaye Bundonis,
Lilliana Kuball,
Sofia Hall, and
Mary Kate Owens swam to an eighth-place finish in 1:50.68. All four swimmers set new personal-best times in the respective splits. TCNJ came close to making the podium in the 800 freestyle relay, where Kuball,
Sarah Mandy,
Katie Mazzacco, and
Bridget Cleveland finished in fourth place with a time of 7:51.78.
The Lions now look forward to Day 2 of the NJAC Championships, where they will compete in the 400 medley relay, 500 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 free, and 1-meter diving.
