PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – On the first day of the NJAC Indoor Championships, the TCNJ men's track and field team collected several podium finishes, and Maxim Rychkov lowered his own program record on the 60m.
 
TCNJ currently sits in first place with 69 points, holding a narrow lead of four over Rowan. Although the second day of the meet was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday, it was postponed to February 27 due to the forecasted blizzard.
 
RYCHKOV'S RECORD-BREAKER
 
Rychkov put himself in prime position for a championship run next week, winning the 60m prelims with a time of 6.75—currently the sixth fastest time in DIII. In doing so, he broke his previous program record of 6.77 that he set earlier this year.
 
MEDAL WINNERS

• TCNJ's distance runners kicked off the meet in style, as Josh Santiago claiming gold in the 5000m with a PR time of 15:13.55. Anthony Guarino finished runner-up in a season-best time of 15:27.68.
• Noah Traverso, Jack Attali, Anthony Senatore, and Maxim Rychkov finished in second place for the 4x200m (1:26.32).
• Jayvee Dumas and Zach Kosinski placed in second and third for the pole vault, with Dumas clearing 4.43m and Kosinski 4.13m.
• Braden Paulmenn (15.48m) and Jayson Lewis (14.87) placed second and third in the shot put.

 
OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES

• Phil Pace ran to a fourth-place finish in the 5000m.
• Dumas and Nate Adams both recorded new PRs in the 60m hurdles. Dumas finished seventh in 8.38, while Adams finished ninth in 8.47.
• Traverso leapt a season-best distance of 6.82m in the long jump.
• Chris Eubanks posted a personal-best time of 7.05 in the 60m prelims.
