PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – On the second day on the NJAC Indoor Championships, TCNJ picked up six medals and a couple more top-five runs to earn a second-place finish with 152 points.
Maxim Rychkov ended the meet with three medals, picking up two on this second day. Just as he did on the first day, he lowered his own program and NJAC Championship record time in the 60m today.
Noah Traverso also ended the weekend with multiple medals, having picked up a silver on the first day and a gold today.
MEDAL WINNERS
- Rychkov lowered his 60m record to 6.72 en route to a gold medal. His time currently stands as the fifth-fastest time in Division III. He also medaled in the 200m, placing second (21.23) only behind a runner from Rowan who posted the second-fastest time in the nation to claim the gold.
- Noah Traverso won the 400m in a PR-time of 48.52, just 0.02 seconds ahead of second place.
- Evan Melito, the lone Lion competing in the 3000m, claimed the gold medal with a personal-best time of 8:46.52.
- Kevin Matthews secured the bronze medal in the mile, finishing in 4:10.39.
- Thomas Blach made the podium in the 800m, finishing third in 1:53.02.
OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES
- In the 400m, Anthony Senatore finished in fourth with a personal-best mark of 48.78
- In the mile, Brandon Chen finished fifth with a season-best time of 4:19.97, while Ryan Segalla set a new PR of 4:21.05 to place seventh.
