Men's T&F Places 10th at NCAA Indoor Championships Behind Four All-American Performances

3/15/2026 12:58:00 AM

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The TCNJ men's track and field team competed in four total championship finals on the second day of the NCAA Indoor Championships, and they secured All-America honors in all of them.

As a team, the Lions logged an impressive 10th-place team finish. As a result, this season was the first time a TCNJ track and field squad finished inside of the top ten at indoor nationals since 2010.

TCNJ's weekend was highlighted by their sophomore star Maxim Rychkov who ran in three events. He began in the 60m and placed 6th (6.76) and then captured a third-place finish in the 200m (21.15) a few hours later. Rychkov also anchored the 4x400, where he (47.29) combined with Noah Traverso (48.57), Nate Adams (48.47), and LeBron Rose (49.09) to place third in 3:13.41. Rose collected the first All-American citation of his career, while Adams became an All-American for the first time in an indoor event. Traverso picked up his third All-American honor while Rychkov is now an eight-time All-American.

Jayvee Dumas captured the first All-American honor of his career by placing 14th overall (4,874 points) in the heptathlon. After having put himself in good position to finish his indoor as an All-American on the first day, Dumas excelled on the second day of competition. He opened the day with an eight-place finish in the 60m hurdles and a second-place performance in the pole vault; those key performances gave him the points needed to crack the top 16.

With a historic indoor season now in the rearview mirror, the Lions look forward to a week off before getting back to work in the outdoor season in a couple of weeks.
