EWING, N.J. – TCNJ men's basketball legends Nick Koch and Matthew Solomon added another notch to their historic careers with their dual selections to both the D3hoops.com All-Region 4 First Team and NABC All-District 4 First Team.

TCNJ's record-setting tandem gave the blue and gold multiple first-team All-Region/All-District selections in the same season for the first time in program history and puts them in prime position to potentially secure All-America accolades when those teams are released in the coming weeks.

Koch and Solomon are also the first pair of teammates to earn D3hoops.com All-Region recognition since Randall Walko (First Team) and Travis Jocelyn (Third Team) in 2020.

Koch is now a two-time All-Region and All-District performer after a pair of second-team nods a year ago. He makes the well-earned leap to the first team after a spectacular senior season in which he led the NJAC in scoring (22.0 PPG), field goals made (225), and free throw attempts (182) while ranking second in assists (136), free throws made (140), and minutes per game (34.7) as well as fifth in assist/turnover ratio (1.56).

A three-time All-NJAC selection, including first-team honors each of the last two seasons, Koch finished his career second in TCNJ history in points (1,839) and assists (401). His 637 points as a senior are the most in program history by anyone not named Greg Grant, and his 136 assists are good for fifth-most all-time.

Koch, who also finished 15th on the all-time charts in 3-pointers (114), 17th in steals (114), and 24th in rebounds (351), is in the top-10 among all active Division III players in career points (5th) and assists (10th).

Solomon secured his first career all-region and all-district awards after a standout campaign in which he became the first TCNJ player to be named NJAC Defensive Player of the Year. Also a three-time all-conference honoree, including a first-team honor this season, Solomon averaged career highs in both scoring (14.4 PPG) and rebounding (11.3 RPG), leading the NJAC in every rebounding category while ranking in the top-10 nationally in total rebounds (329, 4th), rebounds per game (10th), and double-doubles (16, 6th).

The active leader in Division III in career rebounds, Solomon finished his remarkable tenure in Ewing a school-record 1,034 caroms, and his 329 boards in 2025-26 are second-most for a single season. A unique all-around player, Solomon also finished fourth in school history in assists (297) and 14th in both points (1,248) and blocks (48). He also owns the program record for rebounds in a game, pulling down 22 in last year's NCAA Tournament clash with Pitt-Bradford.

Together, Koch and Solomon led the Lions to two NJAC championships (2024, 2026) and three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, capped by a 74-73 first-round victory over Johns Hopkins last weekend.
