Matthew Solomon were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, announced Wednesday by the organization.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Additionally, the TCNJ men's basketball team received the NABC Team Academic Award for posting a GPA or 3.0 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year, earning a 3.08 as a group.
The Lions' senior trio were all named to the Honors Court for the second year in a row, and all played major roles as the blue and gold captured its second conference crown in three seasons.
A Finance major, Koch played his way to All-NJAC and All-Region First Team honors, leading the NJAC in scoring (22.0 points per game) and ranking third in assists (4.7 per game). A three-time All-NJAC selection, including first-team honors each of the last two seasons, he ended his remarkable career second in program history in both scoring (1,838 points) and assists (401) while ranking 15
th in 3-pointers (114), 17
th in steals (114), and 24
th in rebounds (351). His 637 points as a senior are the most in program history by anyone not named Greg Grant, and his 136 assists are good for fifth-most all-time.
Solomon racked up a bevy of accolades both on and off the court in his senior swan song. A marketing major, Solomon was named to the D3hoops.com All-America Fifth Team as well as to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team, a pair of glitzy final laurels for one of the most accomplished players in the history of the program.
Solomon became a first team D3hoops.com All-Region and NABC All-District selection for the first time in his career after a standout campaign in which he became the first TCNJ player to be named NJAC Defensive Player of the Year. Also a three-time all-conference honoree, including a first-team honor this season, Solomon averaged career highs in both scoring (14.4 PPG) and rebounding (11.3 RPG), leading the NJAC in every rebounding category while ranking in the top-10 nationally in total rebounds (329, 4
th), rebounds per game (10
th), and double-doubles (16, 6
th).
Solomon finished his remarkable tenure in Ewing with a school-record 1,034 caroms, and his 329 boards in 2025-26 are second-most for a single season. A unique all-around player, Solomon also finished fourth in school history in assists (297) and 14
th in both points (1,248) and blocks (48). He also owns the program record for rebounds in a game, pulling down 22 in last year's NCAA Tournament clash with Pitt-Bradford.
Okocha led the Lions and ranked 3
rd in the NJAC with 62 made 3-pointers as a senior, running his career triples tally to 127 and placing him 11
th in school history. He started all but one game over the last two seasons, averaging a career-best 10.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in 2025-26. Okocha shot 34.9 percent from 3-point range for his career and finished with a total tally of 556 points.
