LOUISIANA, La. – On Thursday, the USTFCCCA released its list of regional Athletes and Coaches of the Year for the 2026 indoor track and field season.
Lucia Garcia-Beltran and head coach
Justin Lindsey captured major awards on the women's side, while
Maxim Rychkov garnered a major award for the men.
Rychkov earns another notch to his belt after earning two First Team All-America selections at the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. At the meet, he logged a pair of DIII all-time marks. His 60m time of 6.68 is the sixth all-time and his 200m time of 21.15 is seventh all-time.
Garcia-Beltran had a historic campaign during her first year as a Lion, highlighting her indoor season with a runner-up finish in the 60m and a fifth-place finish in the 200m at NCAAs. Her best 60m time of 7.48 from earlier this year is sixth-fastest all-time in DIII, and her best 200m time of 24.29 is tenth-fastest all-time.
Finally, head coach
Justin Lindsey adds another Coach of the Year honor. This year guided the TCNJ women's track and field team to a 17
th-place finish at NCAAs and a fourth-place finish at regionals — both were highest out of all Metro Region women's squads.
