Records Fall as Men's T&F Begins Outdoor Season

ATLANTA, Ga. & CHESTER, Pa. – The TCNJ men's track and field team began their outdoor season this weekend in two locations, breaking multiple program records to set the tone for the rest of the year. Nate Adams and Noah Traverso each lowered a school record, while Maxim Rychkov tied one of his program record marks.
 
EMORY THRILLS IN THE HILLS – TRACK
  • Nate Adams broke the program record in the 400m hurdles, posting a time of 52.55 to place second only behind the defending national champion. LeBron Rose joined Adams in the top-ten of the event by placing sixth (55.03).
  • Noah Traverso posted a time of 47.72 in the 400m, breaking a program record which had stood since 1995. Noah Traverso also placed in the top-fifteen of the 200m, finishing 12th (21.83).
  • Maxim Rychkov tied his own program record time in the prelims of 100m, posting a 10.46. He also placed third in the 200m with a time of 21.08.
  • Jack Attali placed third in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.78.
  • Kevin Matthews and Brandon Chen each cracked the top-ten of the 1500m, as Matthews placed sixth (3:55.39) and Chen placed eighth (3:58.48).
  • In the 4x400m, Tyler Seaton, Attali, Lucas Lattimer, and Isaiah Muse logged the seventh-fastest time in the field (3:18.48). Another TCNJ quartet of Christopher Eubanks, Jayvee Dumas, Nihar Tantry, and Brody Dillich competed in the event, placing 14th overall.
  • In the 4x100m, Christopher Eubanks, Rychkov, Traverso, and Attali placed fourth overall and first out of all DIII teams in the event (41.84).
  • Thomas Blach led the way for TCNJ in the 800m, placing sixth with a time of 1:54.04.
EMORY THRILLS IN THE HILLS – FIELD
  • Braden Paulmenn represented TCNJ's throwers in both the shot put and hammer throw. Paulmenn placed fifth in the shot put (15.52m) and 11th in the hammer throw (47.77m).
  • Jayson Lewis also logged a top-ten performance in the shot put, placing seventh (14.00m). He also competed in the discus, where he placed 11th (41.02m).
  • Dumas placed 20th in the long jump (6.01m).
 
DANNY CURRAN INVITATIONAL
  • Nate Kidwell placed fifth in the steeplechase by posting a time under ten minutes (9:58.94).
  • Phil Pace led the way for TCNJ in the 5000m with a 10th-place finish (14:54.26) in a crowded field of 133 runners. Evan Melito crossed the finish line a few seconds after pace, finishing in 11th with a new personal-best time of 14:56.47.
  • Will Evarts posted a new personal best in the 1500m of 4:10.11, placing 29th in a field of 144.
  • David Keefe finished 31st out of 153 in the 800m, posting a time just over two minutes (2:00.09).
  • Zach Kotel placed 38th out of 55 in the 400m hurdles, posting a time of 1:01.17.
  • P.J. Fragomeni placed 107th out of 171 runners in the 200m (23.93).
  • Juan Alino placed inside of the top 100 in the 100m (12.02).
 
DANNY CURRAN INVITATIONAL – FIELD
  • Maxwell Reilly logged a personal best mark in the high jump (14th, 1.86m)
  • Tyler Kadezabek (12th, 3.95m) and Matthew Corrigan (14th, 3.80m) each placed in the pole vault.
