NEW YORK, N.Y. – The TCNJ women's track and field team had a successful second day at regionals, ending the weekend in fifth place in a field of over 50 teams. Lucia Garcia-Beltran once again took the headlines by setting a championship record in the 200m and becoming the first ever TCNJ athlete to be named MVP of the regional meet.
 
Garcia-Beltran set a meet record in her winning 200m run, posting a time of 24.56. Thanks to that run and her runner-up sprint in the 60m (7.59), Garcia-Beltran was named MVP of the regional championship meet.
 
ELSEWHERE ON THE TRACK
 

• Kelsey Thomas joined Garcia Beltran on the 200m podium, placing sixth in a person-best time of 25.11. Rukky Daranijo also ran in the event, placing 23^rd (25.85)
• Daranijo also posted a season-best time of 58.36 in the 400m to a 12^th-place finish. Brenna Omert also ran for the Lions in the 400m, placing 26^th (59.96).
• Kelly O'Grady placed 10^th in the 800m (2:16.14).
• Savannah Hodgens and Ava Biemuller both ran in the 3000m. Hodgens placed 31^st (10:50.42) and Biemuller placed 32^nd (10:55.85).
