Men's Track and Field Shines at Invite

EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ men's track and field team racked up a boatload of wins in their annual outdoor invite this past weekend, with Noah Traverso and Nate Adams ending the weekend as multi-winners.
 
ON THE TRACK
  • Noah Traverso won the 400m in 48.55, and he was joined in the top five by Isaiah Muse (50.10, new personal best). Traverso picked up another win in the 200m, where he logged a personal-best time of 21.77.
  • Nate Adams won the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.96, which is currently a top-50 time in DIII. Adams also won the 400m hurdles (54.84), and was followed by Lebron Rose's second-place finish in that event (55.78).
  • In the 1500, four Lions placed inside of the top ten while setting new personal best times. Evan Melito won the event in 4:00.75, followed by Josh Santiago in third (4:06.60), Phil Pace in fifth (4:08.42), and Nate Kidwell in seventh (4:08.76).
  • TCNJ placed four runners in the top ten again in the 800m, with Kevin Matthews winning the event with a personal-best time of 1:54.53. Will Evarts placed third (1:57.36), Brandon Chen in seventh (1:59.87), and Ryan Segalla in ninth (2:00.82).
  • Evarts and Matthews were also part of the 4x400m relay which took second place. Evarts and Matthews combined with Thomas Blach and David Keefe to post a time of 3:25.61 in the race.
  • Andrew Scalercio and Silas Matteson finished one after another in the 5000m. Scalercio finished runner-up in 16:04.47 and Matteson finished in third place with a time of 16:24.75.
  • Senan De Silva posted a new personal best in the steeplechase, posting a time of 10:19.46.
 
IN THE FIELD
  • Tyler Kadezabek won the pole vault by clearing a height of 4.45m, while Zach Kosinski tied for third with a mark of 4.00m.
  • Ryan Mohr and Braden Paulmenn both placed inside of the top five in the javelin, posting a pair of DIII top-100 marks. Mohr finished second (53.87m) while Paulmenn placed fourth (51.24m). Jeremiah Wilson (6th, 49.94m) and Ozzy Olevsky (9th, 46.64m) joined Mohr and Paulmenn in the top ten of the event.
  • Paulmenn and Jayson Lewis placed inside of the top three of the shot put, with Paulmenn winning the event (14.72m) and Lewis placing third (14.20m).
  • Lewis placed second in the discus (42.52m) and Paulmenn placed in fourth (40.09m).
  • Christian Farhat won the hammer throw with his toss of 51.28m. In the same event, Paulmenn placed third (47.70m) and Xavier Lynch placed fifth (39.81).
  • Maxwell Reilly led the Lions in the high jump (4th, 1.85m), while Richard Russo paced TCNJ in the long jump (6th, 6.50m).
 
DECATHLON
  • Jayvee Dumas won the decathlon after amassing 6,038 points over the weekend. He placed first in four events (long jump, high jump, 110m hurdles, pole vault), second in two events (100m, 400m), and set new personal bests in the 1500m and javelin.
