EWING, N.J. – The Lions hosted their annual outdoor invite this past weekend, and the TCNJ women's track and field team had an excellent few days and came away with several wins.
 
HEPTATHLON

• Sarah Scepkowski finished third in the heptathlon, racking up 4,346 points. She highlighted her weekend with second-place performances in the 100m hurdles (14.90, top-30 DIII time this year) and the 800m (2:27.33, new personal best).

 
ON THE TRACK

• Lucia Garcia-Beltran won the 200m in 24.48, setting the third-best time in DIII this season with the sprint. She also won the 100m finals by about half of a second, posting a time of 11.81 to speed ahead of the pack.
• Kelsey Thomas placed in third in the 200m a bit after Garcia-Beltran, posting a time of 25.19.
• In the 1500m, five Lions placed inside of the top ten, led by Ava Biemuller in fourth (4:58.51). Teagan Walker placed in fifth (4:59.37), Malissa Morabito in sixth (5:02.61), and Ella Daly in seventh (5:03.23, new personal best). Savannah Hodgens rounded out the top ten with a tenth-place run (5:10.10, new personal best).
• Kelly O'Grady (58.71) and Rukky Daranijo (58.78) placed third and fourth respectively in the 400m.
• Casey Noonan placed third in the 400m hurdles, posting a time of 1:05.59.
• Mackenzie Burke placed runner-up in the finals of the 100m hurdles, posting a time of 15.63. She also placed fifth in the 400m hurdles (1:06.04).
• Petra Doherty, Breanna Casais, Dallas Walther, and Cameron Ruffini combined for a third-place finish in the 4x100m (50.21).
• Naesha Gadie, Alex Grivas, Taylor Rooney, and Lilla Porter placed third in the 4x400m (4:20.99).
• Gadie also paced the Lions in the 800m with a third-place finish (2:22.86).

 
IN THE FIELD

• Lia Malave won the long jump with a distance of 5.44m, which is a top-50 mark in DIII this year. Larissa Itondo placed fifth in that event as well (5.16m).
• Allison Lavin set pair of new personal bests over the weekend with a couple of second-place performances. She started on the first day with a new personal best in the javelin, where she finished in second place with a throw of 38.02m. That mark is currently a top-50 mark in DIII. On the second day, she posted a distance of 47.99m on the hammer throw to set another new personal best.
• Lavin also won the shot put (12.98m) and placed second in the discus (34.72m).
• Doherty, Emily Donise, Ashley Lopez, and Raegan Goldey all cleared 1.50m in the high jump. Erin McGauley also placed fourth in the triple jump (10.36m).
• Emersen Levins placed third in the pole vault with a new personal best height of 3.20m.
