Women's Track and Field Takes Home Four Wins from Invite

EWING, N.J. – The Lions hosted their annual outdoor invite this past weekend, and the TCNJ women's track and field team had an excellent few days and came away with several wins.
 
HEPTATHLON
  • Sarah Scepkowski finished third in the heptathlon, racking up 4,346 points. She highlighted her weekend with second-place performances in the 100m hurdles (14.90, top-30 DIII time this year) and the 800m (2:27.33, new personal best).
 
ON THE TRACK  
IN THE FIELD
  • Lia Malave won the long jump with a distance of 5.44m, which is a top-50 mark in DIII this year. Larissa Itondo placed fifth in that event as well (5.16m).
  • Allison Lavin set pair of new personal bests over the weekend with a couple of second-place performances. She started on the first day with a new personal best in the javelin, where she finished in second place with a throw of 38.02m. That mark is currently a top-50 mark in DIII. On the second day, she posted a distance of 47.99m on the hammer throw to set another new personal best.
  • Lavin also won the shot put (12.98m) and placed second in the discus (34.72m).
  • Doherty, Emily Donise, Ashley Lopez, and Raegan Goldey all cleared 1.50m in the high jump. Erin McGauley also placed fourth in the triple jump (10.36m).
  • Emersen Levins placed third in the pole vault with a new personal best height of 3.20m.
