Women's T&F Keeps Rolling at Paul Donahue Invite

CHESTER, Pa. – The TCNJ women's track and field team continued its strong start to the outdoor campaign over the weekend, as they put in a strong all-around performance at the Paul Donahue Invitational.
 
ON THE TRACK
  • TCNJ's A relay in the 4x100 placed second overall and first out of all DIII relays. Mackenzie Burke, Rukky Daranijo, Kelsey Thomas, and Lucia-Garcia Beltran clocked a 47.35, which is a top-20 DIII time this year.
  • In the 200, Garcia-Beltran posted a 24.31 to finish fourth overall and first among DIII runners. That time is the sixth-fastest 100 time in DIII this year. She also posted the fastest time out of the DIII runners in the 100 (5th, 11.96); Thomas was the next DIII runner across the line in that event (12th, 12.50).
  • Thomas, Kelly O'Grady, Burke, and Daranijo combined for a fourth-place finish in the 4x400, finishing second out of the DIII relays in the event.
  • Burke posted a time of 1:03.32 in the 400 hurdles, finishing fifth overall and posting a top-30 DIII time in the process. Casey Noonan joined her in the top ten of the race (10th, 1:07.24).
  • Daranijo also logged another top-ten finish in the 400, as she placed sixth (58.55). Also earning a spot in the top ten of the even was Brenna Omert, who posted a time of 59.64.
  • Ava Biemuller (15th, 18:06.47), Teagan Walker (18th, 18:12.19), and Ella Daly (19th, 18:14.56) each finished inside of the top 20 in the 5000m.
  • Kelly O'Grady posted a top-50 national time in the in the 800, finishing in 2:14.72 (24th).
 
IN THE FIELD
  • Allision Lavin collected a pair of top-three placements, placing second in the shot put (13.02m) and third in the javelin (36.39m). She also placed fourth in the hammer throw (45.64m).
  • Sarah Scepkowski placed eighth in the high jump (1.55m), while Emily Donise placed tenth (1.45m). Scepkowski also had the furthest leap for the Lions in the long jump (15th, 5.01m).
  • Maya Scannell was the top Lion in the pole vault with her ninth-place performance (3.25m).
  • Lia Malave (7th, 10.65m) and Larissa Itondo (9th, 10.37m) both logged top-ten performances in the triple jump. Itondo also ran in the 100 hurdles, placing 19th in 17.36.
