Women's T&F Posts Historic 4x200 Time at Penn Relays, Competes at Rick McCorkle Invite

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. & EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ women's track and field team enjoyed yet another record-breaking weekend, as their 4x200 broke the program record with the second-fastest time in DIII history. The Lions also competed in their home Rick McCorkle Invite, which was renamed this year in honor of the legendary head coach.
 
PENN RELAYS  
RICK MCCORKLE INVITATIONAL – TRACK
  • Casey Noonan won the 400 hurdles by posting a personal-best time of 1:04.89.
  • Sarah Scepkowski recorded a personal-best time of 14.84 in the 100 hurdles, placing fourth overall and first among DIII runners in the event. She also finished as the top DIII competitor in the high jump, where she cleared a season-best 1.58m to place tied for second overall.
  • Kelly O'Grady placed first among DIII runners in the 800, where she finished fourth overall in 2:16.03.
  • Dallas Walther placed sixth overall in the 100 (12.89), which was third-best among DIII athletes in the event.
  • Cameron Ruffini and Breanna Casais both logged season bests in the 400. Ruffini finished ninth (1:01.04) and Casais finished eleventh (1:01.34). Ruffini collected another top-ten finish in the 200, where she placed tenth in a season-best 26.37.
  • Larissa Itondo also got a personal best in the 100 hurdles (14th, 16.81).
 
RICK MCCORKLE INVITATIONAL – FIELD
  • Allison Lavin finished as the best DIII thrower in the shot put, where she placed third with a mark of 12.35m. She also set a new personal best in the discus (9th, 36.93m) 
  • Lia Malave leapt 5.56m in the long jump, leading the DIII field in the event and setting a new season-best mark for herself. Also setting a new season best was Erin McGauley, who logged a distance of 10.43m in the triple jump.
  • Emersen Levins notched a personal-best mark in the pole vault, clearing 3.35m.
