Three Lions Earn Weekly NJAC Honors

9/14/2026 12:59:00 PM

PITMAN, N.J. - A trio of TCNJ student-athletes took home weekly NJAC awards, as announced by the conference this afternoon.

Brigitte Racey and Jadyn Huff were tabbed field hockey's Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively, while Tyler Hurst garnered his first-ever honors as cross country's Rookie of the Week.

A first-time NJAC weekly award winner, Racey was sensational in two games at Centennial Conference foes last week. The graduate netminder racked up a career-high 17 saves for her 17th career shutout as the Lions blanked Haverford, 3-0, on Wednesday, then came back to produce 14 saves at No. 4 Johns Hopkins on Saturday. Racey's two-game save total of 31 is the most in back-to-back games in TCNJ history, and both contests marked top-seven single-game save tallies. She only conceded one goal in the run of play for the week (Hopkins converted three penalty strokes).

Huff scored all three goals, all in the second half, in the Lions' 3-0 win at Haverford on Wednesday. The senior opened the scoring by converting a penalty stroke in the third quarter, then added two more tallies for her third career hat-trick and first since 2024. Now a 6-time NJAC Offensive Player of the Week, Huff leads the Lions with five goals on the year.

Hurst was the top freshman in the Herb Lorenz Invitational, placing second overall and first among TCNJ runners. He posted a time of 19:50.1, outkicking Stockton's top freshman in the race by two tenths of a second.
