TCNJ women's cross country's Alexis Smith has been named the NJAC Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference earlier this afternoon. 

The freshman earns the first NJAC honors of her career after just her first race, finishing eighth at a highly-competitive DeSales Invitational with a time of 24:04.2 in the 5K. Smith was the first freshman to cross the line, beating out the next-closest first-year by over a minute to help the Lions take first overall at the meet.
