TCNJ grounds Red Hawks, 15-5

Freshman Leigh Mitchell had three goals and two assists in the win.

Montclair, NJ...The College of New Jersey picked up its third straight win as the Lions beat host Montclair State University by the score of 15-5 on Tuesday.

The win puts the Lions at 12-1 on the season and they are also a perfect 6-0 on the road this season.

TCNJ outscored the Red Hawks 8-3 in the opening half and then held a 7-2 advantage over the final 30 minutes.

Freshman Leigh Mitchell (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) ,senior Karen Doane (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) and Katie Reuther (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) each had three goals in the win with Mitchell adding a paif of assists and Doane and Reuther each with one.

Senior goalie Caitlin Gregory (Winslow, NJ/Eastern) picked up the win making five saves.

The Lions will play their final home game of the season on Thursday hosting Rowan University in a 5 p.m. start at TCNJ's Soccer Complex.
