Vince Mazzaccaro (Gloucester, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) put the Lions on the board first with an RBI single in the top of the third as the Lions lead 3-0 heading into the bottom half of the inning before Haverford pulled within a run, down 3-2.
In the top of the fourth inning the Lions pulled ahead as rookie catcher
Mike Galeotafiore (Brick, NJ/CBA) doubles to center field with an out and would eventually score on a throwing error. Tussey would drive in sophomore

Haverford would tack on a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth, but the Lions held on for the win.

Eric Gerti (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) earned his second save of the year after working 1.1 innings with no hits and a strikeout. Gertie is pulling closer to breaking the Lions' career saves record as he now has 11, just two shy of tying the mark established by Nick Maddelena (13, 1999-2002).
