Meet results
The College of New Jersey women's swimming and diving team took one step closer to its fifth consecutive New Jersey Athletic Conference by defeating William Paterson University 194-84 in TCNJ's Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions remain perfect this season with an overall record of 5-0 and 3-0 in conference meets.
Senior
Jenny Zavoda (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) won a pair of freestyle events, taking top honors in the 1000-free in 11:19.86 and the 100-free in 55.16. Junior
Amy Schurer (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) placed second in the 1000-free with a finish of 11:46.13 while
Lauren Rothstein (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview) took third in 11:54.43.
The Lions swept the 100-breastroke event as
Brennah Ross (Paoli, Pa/Cyber Charter School), Rothstein, and junior
Kelsey Sumple (Windsor, CT, Northwest Catholic) took the top three spots. Ross posted a winning time of 1:09.92 followed by Rothstein (1:14.63) and Sumple (1:16.12).
Senior
Samantha Parlow (Brick, NJ/Monsignor Donovan), junior
Maria Ciaralli (Morrisville, Pa/Pennsbury), and sophomore
Summer Thomas (North Plainfield, NJ/Metuchen) also finished one-two-three in the 50-free. Parlow led the field with a time of 25.46, while Ciaralli (26.20) and Thomas (26.35) placed second and third in the sprint race. Parlow went on to show her versatility by also winning the 500-free with a time of 5:26.60.
Freshman
Eilish Devine (Oradell, NJ/River Dell) reaped honors in the 200-free followed by senior
Kristyn Wikoff (Shrewsbury, NJ/Red Bank Regional). Devine registered the fastest time at 2:02.56 while Wikoff posted 2:04.69. Rookie
Noelle DeLusant(Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) touched the wal first in the 100-butterfly, postig a winning time of 1:03.58.
At the deep end of the pool, senior
Danica Roskos (Pennington, NJ/Hopewell Valley) notched two more wins in her brilliant college career. She won the 1-meter event with a score of 301.55 and the 3-meter diving competition with a tally of 296.50.

Ashley Conroy (Toms River, NJ/Monsignor Donovan), freshman
Eilish Devine (Oradell, NJ/River Dell), Ciaralli, and Sumple also posted wins as TCNJ showcased its depth of talent in handling the visiting Pioneers. DelusantThey won 11 individual swimming events and both relay races in victory.
The Lions (5-0, 3-0 NJAC) will visit Rowan University next Saturday at 2 p.m. in hopes of clinching the NJAC title for the fifth straight year since swimming was re-introduced as a conference sport in 2008-09. TCNJ returns to campus to match up against nationally ranked Stevens Institute of Technology in their home finale on Sunday, January 27 at 2 p.m.
