<br /> <a href="/documents/2013/8/31/BlueGoldClassicResultsWomen1.pdf?id=2879">Meet results</a><br /> <br /> <strong>Hopewell, NJ </strong>… The College of New Jersey women's cross country team opened its cross country season as they hosted the annual Blue/Gold Classic at Rosedale Park in Hopewell, NJ.<br /> <br /> The Lions received an exceptional effort from junior <strong>Tara Nealon (Howell, NJ/Howell)</strong> as finished third out of 38 runners with a time of 19:15.61 in the 5k event. The field included a pair of Division I programs in Rider University and St. Joseph's University as the Broncs' <strong>Megan Elgin</strong> registered the fastest time, winning the race in 19:02.61.<br /> <br /> Senior Sarah Polansky (Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills) finished eighth in the race with a time of 19:46.49. Classmate <strong>Anginelle Alabanza (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick)</strong> was also a top-ten finisher, clocking a time of 19:56. Junior Jillian Manzo (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon) placed 11^th overall with a finish of 20:06.37.<br /> <br /> Sophomore <strong>Melissa Lerit (Morristown, NJ/Morristown)</strong> and junior <strong>Megan Stack (Hellertown, Pa/Saucon Valley)</strong> also produced solid performances. Lerit posted 20:18.48 and Stack crossed the line in 20:19.08. The pair finished 14^th and 15^th in the event.<br /> <br /> The Lions enjoy a week off for training before resuming competition on Saturday, September 14 at the Ramapo Roadrunner Invitational in Mahwah, NJ at 11 a.m.<br /> <br />
