It was an impressive performance for the Lions (2-0) as they won eight individual events, both relay races and a pair of diving events.

Senior
Summer Thomas (North Plainfield, NJ/Metuchen) can kick back and enjoy her final homecoming on campus tomorrow after winning two freestyle events and contributing to a first-place finish in the 400-free relay. Thomas bested all swimmers in the 200-free with a time of 2:01.21. Teammate
Lauren Rothstein (Mullica Hill, NJ / Clearview) finished runner-up, clocking 2:03.10.

In the 500-free, Thomas came out on top in an exciting finish to a distance race. She touched the wall in 5:22.42, just in front of Red Hawk swimmer
Sydney Stein who finished in 5:23.47. Thomas joined freshman
Marta Lawler (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East), sophomore
Colleen Magley (Brick, NJ / Monsignor Donovan) and freshman
Ali Huber (South Plainfield, NJ / South Plainfield) to take top honors in the 400-free relay with a winning time of 3:52.92.

Sophomore
Brenna Strollo (Long Branch, NJ/Biotechnology) had another big performance as she claimed a pair of individual events, placed second in the 100-free and contributed to the 200-medley relay win. Strollo won the 100-backstroke with a time of 1:00.83 as TCNJ swept the top three spots. Freshman
Katie Kilfeather (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) finished second and classmate
Jill Galindo (Millstone Twp., NJ/Rutherford) took third. In the 200-individual medley, Strollo finished the multi-stroke event in 2:16.45 to win the race. She also swam the opening backstroke in the 200-medley relay, providing a lead for Lawler, senior
Brennah Ross (Paoli, PA/PA Cyber Charter School) and Rothstein to win the race in 1:54.73.

Rothstein set the pace in the 100-free as the Lions seized the top three finishes. She posted a winning time of 55.52 followed by Strollo (55.65) and Huber (55.62).

Huber showcased her endurance in winning the 1000-free in 11:40.55, while Kilfeather coasted to victory in the 200-back in 2:17.71. Ross won the 50-free in 24.70.

In the diving well, freshman
Hannah Raymond (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Twp.) won the 1-meter and 3-meter events. She compiled a score of 191.50 in the 1-meter and 275.50 in the 3-meter. Combining the two events for an 11-dive score surpassed the NCAA qualifying standard, so Raymond has already taken steps towards a trip the national championships.

TCNJ is back in action next Saturday when they visit Division II rival Southern Connecticut University in a dual meet starting at 4:00 p.m.
