Meet resultsEwing, NJ. … The College of New Jersey men's track and field program overwhelmed the competition on Saturday and Sunday at their home track as the Lions captured their 17
th consecutive New Jersey Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship title.

TCNJ racked up 221.50 points to top the field of 10 teams, outscoring second-place finisher Rowan University (143.50 points) by nearly 80 points. The Lions have won every NJAC title in outdoor track and field since 1998 and did so in dominant fashion as their depth of talent flooded the track and field events over two days.

The championship title along with the women's victory also marked the fifth NJAC championship of the year for head coach
Justin Lindsey. Lindsey, who took over the program this past summer, won the men's and women's titles in cross country this past fall as well as a men's indoor track and field championship in the winter of 2014.

On Sunday, senior
Scott Lisa (Highland Park, NJ/Vernon) added another tremendous performance to his illustrious career by winning the high jump by clearing 1.93 meters. The stiffest competition came from his teammate
Michael Larkin (Millington, NJ/Watchung Hills), who placed second by matching 1.93 meters. Lisa took top honors by having less failed attempts en route to 1.93.

Lisa also finished eighth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.51 seconds. In that event, freshman
Zach Hubner (Oradell, NJ/River Dell) chalked up six points with a third-place finish, posting a time of 11.05. Later, Hubner returned to the lanes to place second in the 200-meters with a time of 22.35 and also contributed to a first-place finish in the 4x400 relay race.

Hubner was joined by seniors
Thomas Kelly (Lawrence, NJ/Lawrence), Dominic Tasco (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) and
Michael Spekhardt (Sparta, NJ/Sparta). The foursome posted an ECAC qualifying time of 3:21.22.

Tasco was also a part of one of the most exciting finishes of the day. He was narrowly edged at the finish line by
Brian Wersan of St. Joseph's of Long Island. Wersan posted the winning time in 1:55.21, while Tasco registered 1:55.51.

Four TCNJ runners finished in the top seven in the 1,500-meter event. Rookie
Brandon Mazzarella (Marlboro, NJ/Manalapan) led the way, finishing runner-up with a time of 4:02.98.
Classmate Alex Clary (Morristown, NJ/Morristown), senior
Walter Ingram (Kings Park, NY/Kings Park), and junior
Jeremy Garrell (Morristown, NJ/Morristown) placed fourth, sixth, and seventh to pick up points. Cary finished in 4:05.01, Ingram in 4:07.55, and Garrell in 4:07.69.

In the 5,000-meter event, the Lions flexed their muscle once again with four runners in the top six led by freshman
Andrew Tedeschi (Montville, NJ/Montville). He finished runner-up with a time of 15:45.10. Sophomore
Jonathan Stouber (Marlboro, NJ/Colts Neck) placed fourth in 15:56.26 followed by
Scott Savage (Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills) and
Roberto Guiducci (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville).

Spekhardt continued his strong season with a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter event. He completed the lap in 50.16 seconds. Sophomore
Laron Day (Long Branch, NJ/Long Branch) took third overall in the 400-meter hurdles with an ECAC qualifying time of 55.29.

The duo of junior
Abayomi Arowolo (West Orange, NJ/West Orange) and classmate
Jaime LeRoy (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) placed fifth and sixth in the discus throw. Arowolo posted a top distance of 41.01 and the heavy ball landed at a distance of 39.49 for LeRoy.
