Meet resultsEwing, NJ … The College of New Jersey women's swimming and diving team dropped a 176-104 decision to seventh-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology on Monday afternoon in TCNJ's Aquatics Center.

Sophomore
Brenna Strollo (Long Branch, NJ/Biotechnology) posted an individual victory in the 50-freestyle event with a finish of 25.49. She also joined freshmen
Katie Kilfeather (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North),
Marta Lawler (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) and
Ali Huber (South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) in finishing runner-up in the 200-medley relay. The Lions registered a time of a 1:54.48 in the race.

Lawler put forth outstanding efforts in the 100- and 200-breaststroke events. She finished runner-up in each race, registering times of 1:11.27 and 2:34.36.

Senior
Summer Thomas (North Plainfield, NJ/Metuchen) had a busy day in the lanes, competing in a pair of distance events, the 200-butterfly and 400-free relay. She finished second in the 1000- and 500-free with times of 10:54.86 and 5:18.89. Thomas finished second runner-up in the 200-fly, completing the race in 2:18.63.

The durable senior led TCNJ to a first-place finish in the 400-free relay. She swam the final leg to clinch the win, joining Huber and sisters
Lauren Rothstein and
Emily Rothstein (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Regional). The foursome posted a winning time of 3:42.08.

The Rothstein duo placed second and third in the 200- and 100-free events. Lauren posted times of 2:01.65 and 55.04 to finish runner-up, while Emily was right behind with finishes of 2:02.60 and 56.28.

In the diving well, sophomore
Sarah Grassi (Oaklyn, NJ/Camden Catholic) took first with scores of 298.35 in the 3-meter and 278.55 in the 1-meter event.

TCNJ looks to remain unbeaten in New Jersey Athletic Conference meets this Saturday when they visit Rowan University for a match-up slated for 1:15 p.m.
