Senior Day ProgramMeet resultsEwing, NJ … The College of New Jersey women's swimming and diving team registered a dominant 202-82 victory over William Paterson University on Saturday in TCNJ's Aquatic Center.

The Lions improved to 4-3 this season and finished a perfect 4-0 in New Jersey Athletic Conference contests. TCNJ clinched its eighth straight NJAC title last weekend and will now look towards winning its first Metropolitan Conference title since 2012. The MET championships begin on Friday, February 20 at Rutgers University.

Five seniors were honored prior to the meet. Seniors
Meaghan Burke (Blauvelt, NY/Tappan Zee), Carlyn Hubert (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central), Katie Reilly (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Regional), Brennah Ross (Paoli, PA/Cyber Charter School) and
Summer Thomas (North Plainfield, NJ/Metuchen) all climbed the blocks for the final time in competition at their home pool.

Four of those classmates raced together in the final event of the meet, winning the 400-free relay. Reilly, Burke, Hubert and Thomas topped the field with a finish of 4:02.36. Ross won the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:10.19. She also touched the wall first in the 50-free, posting 25.34.

Brenna Strollo (Long Branch, NJ/Biotechnology), freshman
Marta Lawler (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) and freshman
Tatiana Greiner (Rutherford, NJ/Allentown) to win the 200-medley relay to open the meet. They finished in 1:56.73. Thomas also captured the blue ribbon in the 100-free with a time of 56.84.

In the 200-free, Burke placed third overall as the Lions took the top four spots. Freshman
Emily Rothstein (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Regional) won the event in 2:03.73 and was followed by junior
Sarah Richards (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East) who clocked 2:08.27. Burke posted 2:09.86 and junior
Melissa Haley (Manasquan, NJ/Manasquan) placed fourth with a finish of 2:10.70.

Reilly finished runner-up to freshman
Ali Huber (South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) in the 500-free. Huber won the event in 5:32.67, while Reilly posted 5:41.71. In the 100-butterfly event, Hubert took second overall with a finish of 1:08.38. She placed second to her teammate Richards, who registered the fastest time in 1:03.35.

Lawler earned top honors in the 1000-free in 11:49.15.
Classmate Jill Galindo (Millstone Twp, NJ/Rutherford) had a strong meet, winning the 100- and 200-backstroke events. She posted the field's swiftest times with a 1:04.98 and 2:21.78. Rookie
Debbie Meskin (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) tapped the wall first in the 200-fly in 2:19.24, followed by junior
Noelle DeLusant (Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) who completed the race in 2:27.30.

On the board, sophomore
Sarah Grassi (Oaklyn, NJ/Camden Catholic) won both the 1-meter diving event. She tallied 260 points, while placing second in the 3-meter event with 237.10.

Over the past four seasons, members of the senior class contributed to a number of program accomplishments. The Lions posted a dual meet record of 22-8, including a perfect 16-0 mark in conference competition. They won the 2012 MET championship and seek a second MET title during their tenure in two weeks.
