THE MATCHUP

TCNJ moves back into conference play for the first time in three weeks when it hosts Ramapo on Saturday afternoon at Packer Hall at 1 p.m. The Lions went 3-1 during the break in NJAC play, with their only loss coming by three points at No. 25 Scranton on Dec. 20.

WINNING STREAK
After that loss to Scranton, the Lions have rattled off three straight victories. TCNJ blew through Cabrini in the first round of the Washington & Lee Holiday Tournament before defeating Centre in the championship game. The Lions returned to Packer Hall on Wednesday night, breezing to a 19-point victory over Misericordia.

WEDNESDAY'S WIN
The 79-60 victory over Misericordia showcased a balanced effort from the Lions. TCNJ never trailed in the game, and the Lions got contributions from all over the floor.

Ryan Jensen finished with 11 rebounds, grabbing nine of them in the first half. He had eight points and a pair of blocks to go with the boards. Randall Walko scored 16 points to lead the Lions' attack. Jordan Glover scored 13 and P.J. Ringel had 10 points, five assists and three steals.

The Lions did not attempt a free throw in the first half, but their 76.5 percent (13-17) mark in the second half helped them keep Misericordia at a distance.

TCNJ RANKS
The Lions lead the NJAC in assist-to-turnover ratio, fewest turnovers, and three pointers made. In that last category, the Lions rank 11th in the NCAA. Randall Walko leads the NJAC in scoring at 20.6 points per game, barely edging Ramapo's Kashuan Barnes for the league lead.

NJAC LOGJAM
TCNJ and Ramapo find themselves in a tightly bunched NJAC through the first six games on conference play. Both teams sit at 4-2, and they are two of five teams with that record in NJAC competition. Montclair State sits at 5-1 in league play, with its only loss coming at TCNJ in early December.

ABOUT RAMAPO
Ramapo enters action with a 10-3 overall record and a 4-2 mark in NJAC play, matching TCNJ and three other schools for second place in the league. Ramapo split a pair of games at the D3hoops.com Classic in Las Vegas last week, defeating Husson before losing to Linfield.

The Roadrunners have two of the top four scorers in the league. Kashaun Barnes ranks second in the NJAC with 20.5 points per game, and Rob Lewis is fourth at 17.

Ramapo gets to the line a lot, ranking 10th in the NCAA in free throws attempts. The Roadrunners are even better once they get there, ranking third nationally in free-throw makes.

TO THE ROAD
After Saturday's game, the Lions are away for two games next week at William Paterson and Kean. TCNJ returns home on Wednesday, Jan. 16, against Stockton at 8 p.m.
