HOBOKEN, N.J. – The College of New Jersey men's swimming and diving team opened its season with a victory Saturday afternoon. The 22
nd-ranked Lions defeated Stevens 171-91. Stevens drops to 1-1. TCNJ won 11 of 14 events on the day.

The 200-Medley relay team of
Sean Rave,
Andrew Duff,
Andrew Thompson, and
Griffin Morgan combined to finish 1:34.07 to start the day with a victory for the Lions.

Morgan then took the 1,000-Free with a time of 10:01.37.
Harrison Yi and
Dixon Kahler went one-two in the 200-Free with times of 1:44.79 and 1:45.97.

Sean Rave won the 100-back in his collegiate debut with a time of 52.75. Morgan captured the 200-Fly in 1:55.09, the only sub two minute time at the event.

Patrick Bakey and
Nolan Kuscan took the top two spots in the 50-Free with times of 22.05 and 22.17. Thomson took the 100-Free in the closest finish of the day. His 47.77 was just .11 ahead of his competition from Stevens.

Rave swam the only 200-back in under two minutes taking the event in 1:56.33. Yi and
Conrad Hoody were the top two finishers in the 500-Free. The pair stopped the clock at 4:52.52 and 4:54.56 respectively.

Thompson earned his second individual win in the 100-fly with a time of 51.08.

Morgan, Thompson, and Rave combined to sweep the 200-IM with times of 1:58.45, 1:59.63, and 2:01.75.

The Lions return to action next Saturday for their home opener against Ramapo at 2 p.m.
