INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The TCNJ men's swimming team concluded their time at NCAAs with a bang, posting three more individual All-American races.
M.J. Hoban,
Tyler McGeehan, and
Gavin Formon each secured All-American nods for themselves in their events. Hoban qualified for the B final of the 100 freestyle, posting a sub-44-second time for the first time in his career in the event (43.88). He stayed under 44 seconds in the evening session, placing first in the heat and 9
th overall. His finals time of 43.97 was also faster than the swimmers who placed in 7
th and 8
th in the championship final.
McGeehan qualified for his first ever NCAA individual final, placing 16
th to claim the last spot of the B final. He jumped up one spot in the final itself, finishing 15
th (2:00.88). Finally,
Gavin Formon became a four-year All-American with his swim in the mile. In the last swim of his collegiate career, Formon claimed his first All-American nod in the event with a 12
th-place finish (15:43.22).
TCNJ finished 11
th with 117 points from the four days of competition, improving six spots from their placement in last year's NCAA Championships. The Lions sent nine swimmers to NCAAs this year, and all nine will return to Ewing with All-American honors.
