INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The TCNJ men's swimming team used four All-American races to maintain their solid eighth-place spot at the 2026 Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. In addition to the hardware, the Lions marked the third day of competition with several milestones.
Two of TCNJ's All-American performances on day three were relays — the 200 medley and 800 freestyle. In the 200 medley,
Andrew Kidchob,
Tyler McGeehan,
Joe McChesney, and
M.J. Hoban placed sixth in 1:27.93. In the 800 freestyle,
Steven Bendoraitis,
Matt Liotti,
Kyle Brushaber, and
Gabe Beverini locked up All-American honors with their 16
th-place performance (6:39.60). Liotti, Brushaber, and Beverini, earned the first All-American citations of their careers as a result.
Kidchob and McChesney, who were involved in the relay, also achieved milestones in their individual All-American races. Kidchob swam in the 100 backstroke — the last individual event of his career. He made the most of his last solo ride, qualifying for his first individual final ever in the event. He placed ninth in the prelims to make the B final, and then placed 13
th in the evening session to add one more to his collection of All-American honors. Kidchob concludes his legendary collegiate career as an eight-time All-American.
Not to be outdone, McChesney broke his own program record in the 200 butterfly
twice in one day. In the prelims, he posted a 1:47.31 to qualify for the B final in the event. A few hours later, he lowered that mark to 1:27.26 which was good enough for 9
