EWING, N.J. – The College of New Jersey women's swimming and diving team cruised to a 216-46 victory over Ramapo College to open NJAC competition Saturday. With the win, the Lions improve to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the NJAC. The Roadrunners fall to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the NJAC.

TCNJ got off to a strong start in the 200-Medley Relay.

Rachel Hannah stopped the clock at 1:51.50.
Darby VanDeVeen,
Haley Crispell,
Shannon Hesse, and
Cameron Carrazza finished in 1:57.43.

Annie Menninger and
Kelsey Ballard continued the momentum in the 1,000-Free. The pair finished one-two in 11:16.11 and 11:26.49. Hannah and
Melanie Fosko gave the Lions a third straight one-two finish to start the meet in the 200-Free.

Elise Fraser and VanDeVeen went one-two in the 100-Back with times of 1:04.53 and 1:05.84. Mennonna kept the Lions winning streak going in the 100-Breast with a swim of 1:09.77.

Jelinek won the 200- Fly in 2:16.27 to extend the TCNJ winning streak to six events. Chan followed with a 25.33 swim in the 50-Free as part of a top-four sweep.

Carrazza won the 100-Free in 56.15 as part of a second straight four-Lion sweep. Hannah won her second individual event of the day, going 2:16.56 in the 200-Back.

Mennonna won the 200-Breast in 2:31.80 as part of a one-two-three finish. Ballard and Fosko went one-two in the 500-Free. Ballard stopped the clock first at 5:30.55.

Chan finished within a second of a "B" cut time in the 100-fly with a swim of 57.50. Carrazza completed the Lions sweep of the individual events with a 2:18.79 finish in the 200-IM.

Hannah, Fosko, Hesse, and Chan went 1:42.44 in the 200-Free relay to complete the team sweep for TCNJ.
In the diving well,
Gabi Valladares posted regional qualifying scores in both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter.
