EWING, N.J. – The College of New Jersey women's swimming and diving team earned a win over Division II Southern Connecticut State University in their final dual meet of 2019 Friday afternoon. The Lions earned a 175-116 win to improve to 4-0 on the season, while the Owls dropped to 2-4.

The Lions got out to a quick start in the 200-Medley Relay as
Rachel Hannah,
Chiara Mennonna,
Zoe Chan, and
Cameron Carrazza combined for a 1:51.79 swim to take the event.

After the Owls captures victories in the 1,650-Free and 200-Free,
Meagan Healey put the Lions back in the win column with a 1:02.26 swim in the 100-Back. The Lions then turned in a dominant performance in the 100-Breast. Mennonna and
Annie Menninger went one-two in 1:09.34 and 1:09.55.
Haley Crispell finished fourth in 1:12.75.

Chan continued her dominant season in the 200-Fly. She won the event by over five seconds in 2:09.08. The Lions then went one-two-three in the 50-Free as
Shannon Hesse out-touched Hannah and
Kazia Moore, stopping the clock at 25.26.

Gabi Valladares and
Hailey Stack went one-two in the 1-meter diving with scores of 225.25 and 194.70.

Out of the break, Chan won her second individual event of the meet, winning the 100-Free in 55.32. Menninger countered a SCSU victory in the 200-Back with a victorious swim of 2:31.89 in the 200-Breast.

Valladares and Stack scored 256.10 and 199.95 in the 3-Meter to earn first and second.

The Lions closed out the meet with a strong one-two performance in the 400-Free Relay. Carrazza, Menninger, Moore, and Hannah touched the wall in 3:46.01 just ahead of
Melanie Fosko,
Kelsey Ballard, Healey, and Hesse, who finished in 3:46.08.
