PITMAN, N.J. – The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its selections for weekly awards on Monday afternoon. Three members of the TCNJ women's track & field team earned the weekly honors.
Shannon Lambert was named Track Athlete of the Week,
Kassidy Mulryne was named Field Athlete of the Week, and
Megan Gasnick was named Rookie of the Week.
Lambert ran the conference's third fastest time in the 200m at the Boston University Last Chance meet. Her time of 25.86 is only behind her season best of 25.84 and her teammates' conference-leading time of 25.61. Lambert also ran the second leg of the 4x400 relay that placed second at the Armory Last Chance meet with a time of 3:55.09. Lambert then ran the second leg on the 4x400 relay that posted a 3:54.20 at the BU Last Chance meet. Those times are the first and second fastest in the conference. The 3:54.20 time is the 14
th best in the country, and this is the first time that she has been named Track Athlete of the Week.
Mulryne won the high jump at the Armory Last Chance meet clearing 1.65m. That jump is the second best jump in the conference behind her season best of 1.67m, and this is the first time she has been named Field Athlete of the Week. Mulryne has already been named Rookie of the Week five times this year.
Gasnick ran a personal best time of 57.97 in the 400 at the BU Last Chance meet. That time is the second fastest time in the conference and the fastest by a freshman by over two seconds. She also ran the lead off leg of the 4x400 relay that placed second at the Armory Last Chance meet with a time of 3:55.09. Gasnick then came back on Sunday at the BU Last chance meet to run lead off on the 4x400 relay that ran 3:54.20. Those times are the first and second fastest times in the conference. The 3:54.20 time is the 14th best time in the country. This is the second straight week she has been named Rookie of the Week.
